Fresh Strawberry Wrap for Breakfast!

Another simple way to start the day: Strawberry Wrap! Whaaaattt?

Before I used to have breakfast

As i went to high school years ago, i never had a breakfast. I even hated it because i was never hungry in the morning and my mom always asked me to eat breakfast before leaving the house. The class started at 07:15 AM so it was pretty early for me to eat breakfast because it means i need to wake up earlier and you know it was hard for a high schooler like me

During the final weeks of the school year somehow, i realized that i needed to focus on studying in order to get the best grades. At the time i tried to study in different ways and nothing seemed to work. My mom, on the other hand, always make breakfast at home and in her opinion, it's important if i need to focus on studying during the day. So i thought, i'll give a try!

Breakfast is my new best friend

I started to wake up one hour earlier then. It is a smart move! I never skip breakfast since! I always have to eat breakfast before starting the day, not only during school time but also on vacation. I also agree that it is the most important meal of the day because i feel like i cannot start a productive day without it. It gives me the energy i need to get things done and helps me focus whether at work or at school. It also improves my cognitive function related to memory. I just can't focus 100% during the day without it!

Breakfast Alternatives

After school graduation years later and move out of parent's home, i feel like i have no time anymore to make breakfast in the morning. I usually eat breads and it makes me sick of the same old breakfast. During winter time, i always want to eat something fresh and juicy for breakfast that taste more like a sweet dessert. I have been drooling over strawberries lately so i think i'll get creative, like, why not combine wrap and strawberry? Best of all, it is quick to make!

Ingredients.

All you need is one whole grain tortilla, 4-5 strawberries, cream cheese, honey, oatmeal and herbs.

First of all, spread tortillas with cream cheese as much as you want.

Then sprinkle with oatmeal and herbs.

Prepare fresh fruit. In this case: strawberries!
Pick off the green tops from every strawberry. Start by putting each berry onto its side. Slice thin slices from the top and work your way down to the bottom. Simply, this creates round, thin, pretty slices! Then wash your berries! Washing them after they are cut makes them taste way fresher!

Arrange strawberries on top of it. Spread honey on top on it, roll the tortilla up, slice into small sections or eat as it is, and voilà! Enjoy!

Tell me if you try and like this recipe! You know i love to hear it from you! Because it IS delicious and everyone who loves strawberry should try this out!! Guten Appetit and have a great day!

Update: i have been eating this for days now and spread desiccated coconut on top on it and it's YUMMY!

3 Ways To Spend Winter Break If You Aren't Going On Vacation!

I've finally made it to winter break and i'm so excited to rest all day because i really really need it. But let's be honest, you don't want to just lay all day at home not doing anything during winter break? neither do i! I have 2 amazing weeks ahead of me and i always feel that i need to do everything i always want to do and this is a great chance to do it! Here are 3 great ways i definitely do that i want to share to you to make these two weeks memorable:

1. Bake. I finally can bake again since.. Christmas?! I love baking and been doing it since 4 years. It's fantastic! I wonder why i didn't start earlier?! You can taste the dough, be creative, and having a house smells like strawberry cheesecake. Baking is essential during the holiday season and also celebratory because it's winter break y'all!

2. Re-decorate your room. So it's time to re-decorate that (messy) desk! The good thing about decorating is that it's fun! You have to get creative how you make that desk interesting again so next time you have to study, you feel motivated! I always feel the need to decorate my desk every week because i need to spend 3 hours a day, so why not spice it up a bit? I've made an essential office supplies list to increase productivity:

1. Flowers // 2. Books // 3. Journals // 4. Coffee mug // 5. Desk lamp // 6. Pencil holder // 7. Desk calendar // 8. Wall art // 9. Office supplies // 10. 3 Stackable office boxes // 11. Cute pencil set // 12. Table clock // 13. Gold letter trays // 14. Study wall boards

3. Watch those series you always want to watch. I'm a fan of New Girl and my man got me the third season of New Girl for Christmas last year and i never had the time to watch them completely because i always needed to study for the tests every. single. week.

What is your favorite thing to do during winter break? Share it with me! Have a great day!

Corners of Mine

Happy February! It's crazy how fast the time has flown that it's already 5th! It means spring is around the corner and i can't wait to get my home ready for spring!

I'm excited to tell you today that my new project called 5 on 5 is finally here! On this very first post I want to share few corners of my home that has been my favorites lately. I love decorating this house with plants because they add color and life to a room. Candles are also great stuff to beautify some empty corners, just like a vintage alarm clock i got from flea market 4 years ago. Talking about flea market (in Germany: Flohmarkt), it's been a long time since i went there, and it's a great place to get some cool stuff for decoration sometimes!

Have a great Sunday everyone!
